Our Story

Three Generations of Building

The Cacciamani family's history in construction and development spans more than sixty years. It began in the 1950s with Federico Cacciamani, who built a major construction enterprise in Venezuela — executing dams, highways, tunnels, airports, and over 25,000 units of housing. His sons grew up on job sites, absorbing the demands of large-scale project management firsthand.

In 1973, the second generation founded their own firm, shifting the family's focus toward higher-end residential development while retaining the vertically integrated model their father had established. They entered the South Florida market in 1986 with Pinecrest Gardens, a gated community of twelve Mediterranean-style homes — serving as developer, architect, and builder. A series of luxury communities followed: Willow Point in South Miami, DeGarmo Estates in Coconut Grove (built on the historic property of Florida's first registered architect), and Segovia Tower in Coral Gables.

The family expanded into the Caribbean in the late 1990s, developing communities across Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands while continuing to build custom estates at some of South Florida's most prominent addresses — including Palm Island, Key Biscayne, and Gables Estates. Across every market, the model remained the same: design, construction, and development managed by the family.

Today, the third generation operates from Coral Gables as Urbanika Capital. The firm partners with best-in-class architects and general contractors to execute each project, while keeping development leadership and oversight with its principals. The standard of execution that began with Federico's infrastructure work continues to define everything we build.
