DeGarmo Estates is a private, gated enclave thoughtfully designed to evoke the charm and craftsmanship of the 1920s. The entrance features architectural and decorative elements reminiscent of that era, enhanced by antique stucco finishes and old Chicago brick pavers, creating a timeless sense of arrival.

Situated on a historically significant site in Coconut Grove, DeGarmo Estates occupies the grounds of the former estate of Walter C. DeGarmo, the first registered architect in Florida. His fully restored residence, Villa DeGarmo — a striking 1920s Palladian villa designed by DeGarmo himself — remains at the heart of the community, now joined by nine newly constructed luxury homes.

The main entry is framed by lush landscaping and stately pillars inspired by the classical columns found throughout Coral Gables. A winding brick pathway connects the main gate to a rear exit, weaving through landscaped islands to create a picturesque journey through the estate. The custom-designed iron gate, adorned with angel emblems replicated from the original DeGarmo residence, adds an authentic historic touch.

Each of the ten mansions, ranging from 5,000 to 7,000 square feet, is uniquely designed in a classical Mediterranean style. While the homes offer grand and dramatic interiors, their intimate patio footprints create private outdoor spaces, each featuring a pool and deck — perfect for relaxation in a lush, secluded setting.
